Subject- C.R.C. / B.R.C. Initiation of Coordinator (DIKSHA) Training Matter from Platform.


To state under the above subject that all the C.R.C. / B.R.C. Coordinator has organized online training for friends from Diksha (DIKSHA) platform. In which the C.R.C. / B.R.C. The coordinator has organized online training for friends on matters related to their field of work such as the structure of the whole education - the introduction of the whole education, school/cluster monitoring, FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy), class supervision, child psychology, use of technology.


The duration of this training will be from 01.02.2021 to 15.02.2021.


So that all the CRCs in your district / B.R.C. Coordinator friends will ensure that they complete the training by joining the DIKSHA platform within this time frame. Considering the above matter, all the CRCs of your district / B.R.C. Coordinator friends are asked to instruct them to take this training.



BRC-CRC TRAINING ON DIKSHA




As the BRCs and CRCs play an important role in improving the quality of education. MHRD commissioned a study to assess how efficient theyare functioning and what type of problems they are facing. The main purpose wasto make suggestions for the more effective functioning of BRCs and CRCs on thebasis of the study. This study was conducted in 2010 under the Research,Evaluation and Studies Unit of the Technical Support Group for SSA.


Under SSA, Block Resource Centres and Cluster Resource Centres wee established to provide academic support to teachers and schools on a regular basis in each block of every district. At present 6472 BRCs and 69268 CRCs are operational inthe country, In each block a number of CRCs were established. Each CRC covers the small number of schools within easy reach.

The number ofCRCs per BRCs varies considerably from state to state. The number of schoolsper CRC generally varies from 10 to 20, but the average number of schools per CRC is quite large in some states such as Rajasthan, Delhi, Puducherry and Karnataka. As the BRCs and CRCs play an important role in improving the quality ofeducation. MHRD commissioned a study to assess how the efficiency they are functioning and what type of problems, they are facing.




The objectives of the study included documentation of the roles and functions of BRCs and CRCs as defined by states; assessment of the extent to which the activities are undertaken by BRCs and CRCs were in accordance with their prescribed duties and to assess their workload and time devoted to various tasks; finding out how far training equips them to discharge their responsibilities; and how muchsupport was given to BRCs and CRCs byDIETs.






It also covered assessmentof the on-site support given to teachersand schools by BRCs and CRCs; the views of Headteachers, teachers, VEC, etc.on the contribution of BRCs and CRCs in improving the functioning of schools. The problems faced by BRC and CRC coordinators in their work and their job satisfaction was also looked into. The main purpose was to make suggestions for the more effective functioning of BRCs and CRCs on the basis ofthe study
